Flowers were generally restricted to menswear garments such as Hawaiian shirts – as in Tom Selleck’s interpretation in Magnum PI – but they have now acquired a more widespread acceptance, particularly in their current guise often featuring small flower motifs on a dark background. An exclusive print motif A good way of combining florals into your look is to create a contrast, for example a floral-print shirt over a white T-shirt and plain navy blue swim shorts, perfect for summer excursions to the beach. A floral polo shirt is great over blue Bermuda shorts or even light, long summery trousers in dark blue. In general, the larger the flowers, the more powerful the fashion statement. Boggi Milano’s floral print shirts are made in different fabrics, cotton-linen or viscose, and three are in textiles made exclusively for us by Cotonificio Albini, an Italian mill founded in 1876 and now famous for its very high quality production. Our exclusive print motif, with navy background and coloured flowers, features on a cotton-linen short-sleeved casual shirt (BO19P076501) with bowling collar.
