BUDAPEST MARATHON

BUDAPEST: A MIRROR TO RECOGNISE YOURSELF IN

Harmony in contradictions, beauty in oxymorons, place of paradoxes ….. Remind you of anything? Can you see yourself in these expressions? We truly hope so because, admit it, they are the distinctive features of your character that make you Gentlemen. Who knows better than us at Boggi Milano that your life is not built on trivial or too simplistic choices? If you are not yet convinced of the answer, think about it again while we tell you about a city whose noble foundations, a city so vital, impressive and romantic at the same time reflect your character in its every facet. Budapest, known as the Paris of the East, is wonderful and unique by its very nature, because it is a combination of three different towns: Buda, Pest and Obuda. Bisected by the Danube, its elegance and majesty guard a small part of all the civilisations that have dominated it, creating a mix of past and future which is nothing if not original. We also want to emphasise, Budapest will adapt to you and not the other way round. Whether you love fun, festivities and fashion events or peace and quiet, here you will find an environment that suits you. Either way forget boredom, there are so many things to choose from – guided tours, boat cruises, carriage rides, wine tasting and romantic dinners in prestigious restaurants. If you will be in the city on 14 and 15 October, we recommend the SPAR Budapest Marathon, a popular event for athletes and non-athletes, as it is for less expert sporty types who are encouraged to test their skills. Apart from this brief distraction, there are numerous places to visit such as Buda with its Castle on the hill, Pest with the National Museum, the Museum of Fine Arts and the luxurious via Vaci, known as the best shopping street, Obuda with its Ancient Roman ruins, Margaret Island and the famous Chain Bridge that is illuminated at night, giving the city a magnificent backdrop. Not to mention the baths – since 1934 this city has officially become the city of medicinal and thermal baths whose temperature varies between 20° and 76°C so you can take advantage of the open-air baths outside even on cold winter days. We have to mention the Rudas Baths too, the original Turkish baths, where weekends are devoted to pool parties & lounge events.

The luxurious Hotel Gellèrt hosts the elegant Gellèrt Baths in their classy Art Nouveau style and the almost regal elegance of the furnishings. Finally, the Szèchenyi Baths have 5 swimming pools and 12 thermal baths, making it one of the largest in Europe. It attracts the admiration of Hungarians and tourists alike, located as it is inside a building that demonstrates the majesty of its elements, from the stucco to the statues, from the mosaics to the decorations, and all in neo-Baroque style.

We at Boggi Milano gladly welcome those who, like us, have adopted a Gentleman's attitude and have found in Budapest a mirror in which to recognise themselves perfectly.
